Change an LPG Cylinder
There are different types of sources that could power forklifts. They could run from LP gas or liquid propane, gasoline, battery or diesel. LP is a clean burning fuel preferred for many uses. There are various facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This enables forklifts to be refueled whenever they require. In other places, the facility will have spare LP cylinders which could be changed out when the machinery must be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you should really be careful so as to prevent possible serious injuries. For instance: be sure to put on the correct safety equipment like heavy gloves, safety glasses or goggles. Make certain that you turned off the ignition of the forklift before changing out the tank. Then, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is closed securely. Use your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Remember that it will turn in the opposite direction of a standard connection and never utilize any kind of wrench or a metal tool on these connections. They are meant to be tightened by hand only.
