Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used to move supplies and things around on wooden pallets using metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump that could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.
To be able to avoid loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated carefully. Machine should be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle could turn smoothly. The pallet should be carefully stacked to be able to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop in order to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be centered to be able to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is truly not safe to push the pallet in front of you since the momentum can cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
