Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories which produce enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the sounds generated from the forklift itself.
The sound needs to be readily distinguishable from other audible devices or sounds within the work setting. Sound should be readily distinguishable from other sound or audible devices in the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care must be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really harder to hear the audible device and to determine which direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices can occasionally get deactivated from both operators and workers as they could find them annoying. In addition, audible devices could also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to prevent injuries. Furthermore, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. Noise levels are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each specific application, the operator can choose the performance need. Furthermore, it allows a supervisor to set the model's maximum performance for an operator who is just starting to learn. Being able to adjust and reduce the unit's maximum performance allows a new operator to learn the operating characteristics of the machine in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is deactivated, a supervisor is required to enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing their tail swing area, and operating space behind the vehicle.
