Genie Knuckle boom lifts are strong four wheel drive and four wheel steering capable equipment that allow work to be done efficiently, even if the terrain is rough. The ALC 1000 electronic controls are a menu-based system which enables the user to easily calibrate the machine and its components. System diagnostics are offered in many languages. On the Z-80/60 model, there are dual fuel options available. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is turbocharged, but quiet. It allows for improved performance at higher altitudes. Moreover, it carries more than enough torque for better grade-ability and terrain.
Improved traction for tough terrain is due to full-time positive traction and four-wheel drive. The Z-135/70 comes standard with four-wheel steering. Optional features on this model include coordinated, crab, front wheel, and rear wheel steering to give the machine added agility. On the Z-80/60 the full-time active oscillating axle helps enhance wheel contact on irregular ground. All of these features truly make Genie Knuckle Boom lifts easier and smoother to operate on uneven terrain.
Genie's engine-powered articulating Z-booms are larger compared to any other Genie units. They feature a continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs that are engineered to give the user a much better range of motion and reach. The design of the Z-boom gives the models outstanding over and up positioning capability that ranges from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 model to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 model. The XChassis expanding axle is an ingeniously engineered device utilized for extending and retracting axles out and in of stowed position. The width of the Z-135/70 unit equipment is just 2.46 meters when the axle is stowed. The Z-80/60 has fixed width axles for easier transport.
