Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to help all their customers reach their goals and deliver value as they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
Boom lifts come in 2 general kinds, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. These models are usually powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal alternative for jobs that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Since the operator is able to maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machine. These units are available in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models perform jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects within the work site.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required prior to using boom lifts in order to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks needing lots of man hours to be carried out in a lot less time. These machinery have really increased productivity and have changed the material handling industry.
